ISIS operative captured in Qamishlo

The ISIS operative captured by SDF’s Military Operation Teams has a lengthy history of terrorist activity and was involved in planning terrorist attacks in the region.

On November 1, the Military Operation Teams (TOL) of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by the International Coalition forces, conducted a security operation in Qamishlo, targeting one ISIS terrorist operative named Karam al-Mushawat.

Following a precise monitoring of the terrorist, SDF units successfully surrounded his hideout in Qamishlo city and captured him.

“The terrorist Al- Mushawat, originally from Albu Kamal in Deir ez-Zor, has a lengthy history of terrorist activity. He initially joined the mercenary groups of the so-called Free Army and then he joined the terrorist organization ISIS. He was involved in planning terrorist attacks in the region,” said the SDF Media Center in a statement about the operation.

The SDF reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to pursuing ISIS elements until achieving the enduring defeat of ISIS.
