Moslem: A new process has begun in Syria and the Middle East

Northern Syria Federation Diplomacy official Saleh Moslem said: “A new process has begun in Syria and the Middle East.”

Speaking to Aktuel program on Aryen TV, Northern Syria Federation Diplomacy official Saleh Moslem evaluated Turkey-Iran, Sochi and Geneva meetings and Russian President Putin’s visit to Syria, Egypt and Turkey, and the Jerusalem crisis.

Commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad during Monday’s visit to Syria, following meeting with President of Egypt Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara, Moslem said: “A new process has begun in Syria and the Middle East and undoubtedly, Putin’s visits have taken place in this framework. Putin had an unplanned meeting with Bashar Assad in Syria outside the knowledge of the press. His visit to Egypt was not on his agenda either. This means that he wanted to have these meetings before his meeting with Erdoğan.”

“THE WAR WILL NOT END IN AN INSTANT”

Moslem said Putin’s decision means that war in Syria has ended, remarking that this is not the case as the war continues.

“ISIS might have lost its strongholds and lost strength but this does not equally mean that ISIS has finished off completely. ISIS is still present in several villages of Homs, Hama and Idlib”, Moslem said, adding that Cizire line has been cleared of ISIS up until Deir ez-Zor.

“RUSSIAN TROOPS DO NOT WANT TO PARTAKE IN THE NEW WAR”

Moslem pointed out that Russian troops will not hand over their place to other forces once they withdraw, noting that Iranian and Turkish troops are already deployed in Syrian lands. Moslem said Russia wants to change the course of war, and continued;

“ISIS existed before this and Russia viewed the gangs as terrorists in every aspect. For instance, Iran and the Ba’ath regime and even the U.S. sees Al-Nusra as terrorist but Turkey does not. Over these contradictions, Russia changes its presence in Syria in the new term.

When we look, there are several contradictions between Russia and Iran. In this period, Iran might increase the number of its troops on the ground. In this contradictory process, Russia might lessen its influence in the field and it does not want its own troops to take part in this war.”

“RUSSIA AND THE U.S. STOP THE WAR FOR THEIR OWN INTERESTS”

Moslem continued; “Decision for the ending of war and the involvement of political powers was taken by Trump and Putin in Vietnam. International powers want the war to start and end in accordance with their own interests. This is an international issue, not the problem of the forces on the ground. This is an issue of Turkey and Iran. In our point of view, the war will not be like it has been in the ISIS period, but it will continue with a new battle tactics.

The system we have established is a very clear and transparent one. It was prepared in accordance with the principles of democracy. There is no other project in order for the Syrian crisis to be resolved. Delegations are paying visits and seeing this for themselves. This truth will also come out in Sochi and Geneva. The revealed will must be recognized.”

“GENEVA WILL YIELD NO RESULTS”

Northern Syria Federation Diplomacy official Saleh Moslem pointed out that; “Power is needed in order for democracy to be built, defended and put into practice. We have power and this is sufficient for defense as well. Regardless of its importance, Geneva has failed so far and it will continue to fail. Reasons for this have already been highlighted one by one before.

The Turkish state distorts all the incidents due to its Kurdish hostility, reflects them away from truths and uses these topics as an argument. Yet, these are not the truths because ISIS has not finished yet and the war continues. Those that threaten Europe and conduct attacks, are still present.

The U.S. says that they will no more send weapons once the war is over and the gangs are cleared. This is what we are told and our solidarity with the coalition forces continues in this framework. However, it looks like the Turkish state will continue with its lies and hypocrisy on this subject.”

ROJAVA MODEL PROPOSAL FOR JERUSALEM

Saleh Moslem underlined the accomplishment of the Rojava model for co-existence, freedom and equality, saying; “This model was built with the idea and philosophy of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. This model is not for Rojava and the Kurds alone, but it is for all the peoples of the Middle East.”

Speaking about the Jerusalem crisis, Moslem said; “Jerusalem is a historical city. It is a sacred city for Muslims, Christians and Jews. In our model, all the ethnic and religious groups and sects have the right to free and independent representation. Should this framework be approved for Jerusalem as well as Kirkuk and Mosul, all peoples can live freely and peacefully.”
