The Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria continues its efforts to address the issue of ISIS mercenaries and their families held in the Roj and Hol camps. As part of a recent agreement between the Autonomous Administration and the Iraqi government, more than 40 ISIS mercenaries have been handed over to Iraq.
Under the supervision of the International Coalition, officials from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria transferred more than 40 ISIS mercenaries to Iraqi authorities. The handover took place at the Til Koçer (al-Yarubiyah) border crossing.
