12 journalists transferred to Diyarbakır High Security Prisons No. 1 and 2

12 of the 16 journalists who remained in Diyarbakır D Type Closed Prison after their arrest were transferred to Diyarbakır High Security Prisons No. 1 and 2.

16 journalists, who were detained on 8 June in Amed and sent to prison on the allegation of "membership in a terrorist organization" by the court on 16 June, were taken to Diyarbakır D Type Closed Prison. It has now been learned that 12 of the journalists have been transferred to Diyarbakır High Security Prisons No. 1 and 2 at the beginning of the week.

Xwebûn Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Ali Ertaş, Mesopotamia Agency News Editor Aziz Oruç, Ramazan Geciken, Mazlum Güler, Abdurrahman Öncü and Suat Doğuhan were taken to Diyarbakır High Security Prison No. 1, while Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) Co-chair Serdar Altan, Mehmet Şahin, Zeynel Abidin Bulut, Ömer Çelik, İbrahim Koyuncu and Lezgin Akdeniz were transferred to the High Security Prison No. 2.
