DIHA reporter battered and detained during house raid in Muş

DIHA reporter for Muş, İdris Sayılgan, was detained during a house raid by special operations police.

Police forces raided the house of Dicle News Agency reporter for Muş, İdris Sayılgan, in Yeşilyurt neighborhood early Monday morning.

Policemen searched Sayılgan's house in detail, threatened his family members and broke the door and windows of the house during the raid. Sayılgan's camera and memory cards were also seized.

DIHA reporter was taken into custody after policemen battered him heavily and hit his head on the wall, which left him injured. Sayılgan was later taken to police headquarters while the reason for his detention was not disclosed.
