DIHA reporter jailed for “spreading propaganda on social media”

Dicle News Agency (DIHA) reporter Nazım Daştan who was detained in the province of Antep the day before, has been remanded in custody.
Daştan was taken into custody while on his way home in Şehitkamil district of Antep province Wednesday evening. Following the finalization of procedures at police headquarters, he was yesterday sent to prosecutor's office to testify.
DIHA reporter was later referred to a court which ruled his arrest on alleged grounds of “spreading propaganda for an illegal organisation” through his own reports he published on his Facebook account.
The Kurdish journalists was remanded in custody and sent to Antep H Type Prison.
