JINNEWS editor-in-chief Sofya Alağaş was taken into custody on Sunday when she was traveling from Siirt (Sêrt) to Amed.

Alağaş was taken into custody in relation with a file from 2011 issued by the Istanbul 10th High Criminal Court. She was taken to Sinanlı Police Station in Bismil district of Amed.

It was learned that an arrest warrant was issued for Alağaş within the scope of the 2011 file, and since the warrant was not lifted, she was detained.

Alağaş was taken to Bismil Courthouse on Monday and was released after the document was sent by the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office.
