Film project launched in memory of murdered journalists

Filming has begun for “Analogue,” a movie dedicated to Cihan Bilgin and Nazım Daştan, two journalists killed in Northern and Eastern Syria.

Production has begun on Analogue, a film that captures the past twelve years in Northern and Eastern Syria. According to information shared by ANHA News Agency, the film is dedicated to journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin, who were murdered while reporting in the region.

Directed by Selim Yıldız, the film is produced by journalist Enes Yıldız, who said that Analogue is dedicated to journalists who lost their lives while covering the war and said, “For me, being part of this project was a duty. The film is being made in memory of our fellow journalists who followed the war in Rojava and lost their lives in the process. The final scene of the film will conclude with the Tishrin Resistance. This film tells the story of the Kurdish people's historical resistance, as well as the struggle in Rojava. In short, Analogue becomes everyone’s story.”
