Journalist Mizgin Sönük and Batman Municipality Council member Hatice Taş were transferred to Erzincan Women’s Closed Prison after being detained during the resistance to the trustee coup.
Journalist Mizgin Sönük, who was detained during protests against the trustee coup in Batman (Êlih) and subsequently sent to prison on 7 November on charges of "resisting to prevent the execution of duty," along with Hatice Taş, former co-mayor of Awiskê (Beşiri district) and a member of the Batman Municipality Council, have been deported to a different prison.
Sönük and Taş were transferred from Batman M-Type Closed Prison on Tuesday evening to Erzincan Women’s Closed Prison.
