After the closure of Rojeva Media yesterday, a new Kurdish newspaper filled that empty space within a few hours. The Kurdish newspaper 'Welat' is published by a group of journalists in Amed.

The first issue of the newspaper has been published today with the headline ‘Free press will not be crashed, will not fall'.

The Welat newspaper will be published daily like Rojeva Media and will present its readers news articles in the Kurdish language.
