The appeal submitted by 250 lawyers to Bursa Public Prosecutor’s office to meet with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, has been rejected.
250 lawyers from several cities including Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Mersin, Muğla, Hakkari and Mardin have submitted a mass appeal to Bursa Public Prosecutor’s office through Asrın Law Office earlier today in order to meet with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The appeal, the 707th one made up to date for a meeting with the Kurdish leader, has been rejected by the Turkish authorities.
The last time Öcalan’s lawyers visited him was on 27 July 2011. Since then, their appeal to visit the Kurdish leader has been rejected on grounds of “weather conditions”, “malfunctioning coaster”, “coaster reparations”, or “state of emergency”.
The lawyers had held a press conference yesterday before submitting the appeal.
