Either all together or none of us!

After the collapse of the Syrian Baath regime, it was often said: Now it's Iran's and Turkey's turn! Given that the Israel-Iran war has begun, this war will greatly affect Turkey, and after Iran, it will be Turkey's turn!

The Israel-Iran war has erupted in full force. Contrary to expectations, the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East to this level could not be prevented. Today, the conflict is not de-escalating but intensifying and expanding as both sides increase their attacks. This situation marks the peak of both the Third World War that began with the Gulf War in 1991 and the process that started with the Gaza War on October 7, 2023.

Undoubtedly, Israel is not waging this war on its own behalf; on the contrary, it is waging it on behalf of the entire global capitalist modernity system. On this basis, it is acting in concert with the US and Britain and receiving support from all the forces of the system. It is attacking as the striking force of the global capital system in the Middle East and aims to establish its own regional hegemony on the basis of the construction of a new energy route.

It is clear that the aim is to eliminate the Islamic regime in Iran. This goal has already been clearly stated by the Israeli Prime Minister. It is evident that after Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Syrian Baath Regime, Iran is next in line. Thus, the global capitalist modernity system led by the US, Israel, and the UK clearly aims to completely eliminate all political structures that took shape in the context of the existence of the Soviet Union in the 20th century.

In fact, based on the outcome of the Gulf War in Iraq and the Middle East, attempts were made to destroy and eliminate the political structures of the 20th century in other parts of the world through various means. Following the September 11, 2001 attacks on the Twin Towers, there was a renewed focus on the Middle East, particularly Afghanistan and Iraq. After attempts to exploit the so-called “Arab Spring” process on this basis, Israeli attacks targeted the elimination of other structures perceived as obstacles in the Middle East, starting from October 7, 2023.

Undoubtedly, special importance was given to the elimination of the Palestinian Liberation Movement during this process, which began with the elimination of the Iraqi Baath regime, and reached an important point with the elimination of the Syrian Baath regime in December 2024. The Muslim Brotherhood Movement and other Islamic organizations, which were formed on the basis of the “Green Belt” project against the Soviet Union, not only failed to survive the attack but also mostly ended up being used as tools in the attack. The process that began with the dismantling of the Mursi Movement in Egypt gained significant momentum with the crushing of Hamas in Gaza.

In fact, the Hamas-Israel war was also a conflict that affected and drew Iran into it in some ways. However, what really concerned Iran were the Israeli attacks aimed at the destruction of Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Baath regime in Syria. Subsequently, the Iran-aligned Houthis were neutralized in Yemen, making Iran a direct target. However, the general expectation was that Israel would not target Iran over groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, for various reasons.

Of course, this view emerged from two perspectives: one was the risk of Iran's fragmentation and the problems this would create for the capitalist modernity system; the other was that, after all its experience, the Iranian administration would not allow such a conflict to happen. However, neither view proved correct. Israel, seeking to become the new hegemon of the region, and the global capitalist system took all risks into account and moved to crush and eliminate the Khamenei regime. It seems that, following Baath nationalism and Muslim Brotherhood religious fundamentalism, the Khamenei administration, which had greatly overestimated itself, also failed to demonstrate the foresight to correctly interpret the developments taking place. As a result, the most dangerous war process, bringing death to the people and bloodshed to the Middle East, has unfolded.

So, what will happen now? It seems that the current regime in Iran will be eliminated, just like similar regimes elsewhere. Although it is impossible to say with certainty how much of this will be achieved through war and how much through other means, or how long the process will take, the result will be a fundamental change of regime in Iran. Of course, both the ongoing war and its outcome will have a very serious impact on the entire region, particularly Turkey.

After the collapse of the Syrian Baath regime, it was often said: Now it's Iran’s and Turkey's turn! Given that the Israel-Iran war has begun, this war will greatly affect Turkey, and after Iran, it will be Turkey's turn! It is clear that Turkey, which was the first state to emerge based on the existence of the Soviet Union, will be the last to be eliminated along with the other states and political powers that formed on this basis. The Turkish state, which was established with the support of Britain and France based on opposition to the Soviet Union, will now be sought to be restructured by these powers in line with their interests, as such support is no longer necessary.

Knowing this truth, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli reacted strongly as soon as the war began, saying, “This attack is also directed at Turkey.” Indeed, in the fall of 2024, following the severe blow suffered by the Lebanese Hezbollah and the escalation of the war into Syria, he emphasized the importance of internal unity, stating, “There is a threat to the survival of the state,” and called for Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan to “come and speak in the parliament as part of the DEM Party group and exercise his right to hope.”

Undoubtedly, Devlet Bahçeli's statements are based on a certain historical awareness and sensitivity toward the state. They differ significantly from the current power struggle in Turkey, which resembles the power struggle experienced by the last Byzantine administration as Istanbul fell. Although they have not been implemented, especially by the AKP government, these are important and beautiful words that express at least some truths.

Of course, the person who has most accurately interpreted the war process in the Middle East and developed a democratic and patriotic politics is the Kurdish people’s leader, Abdullah Öcalan. Despite limited resources, his statements, the publication of his “Call for Peace and Democratic Society,” and the holding of the PKK's 12th Congress, where historic decisions were made, not only contribute to the Kurdish struggle for existence and freedom but also greatly benefit Turkish patriotism and democratization.

Leader Abdullah Öcalan calls on everyone to abandon the “lose-lose” approach and adopt a “win-win” approach. Just like the socialist workers who took to the streets 55 years ago sang in their anthem: ‘There is no liberation alone. Either all together or none of us!’ It is clear that, in the current process, no one can win alone. For example, the war waged in the name of Israel's security requires bringing security to the entire Middle East in order to secure Israel. Those who can see clearly understand that a free and democratic life in Israel is only possible in harmony with its surroundings.

It is clear to anyone with common sense that this reality is even more valid in Kurdistan and Turkey, where the equation “there can be no Turk without Kurds, no Kurd without Turks” holds true. It is also clear that the path to this lies in the physical freedom of the Kurdish people’s leader, Abdullah Öcalan, and his desire for the democratization of Turkey on the basis of Kurdish freedom.

However, despite this being the reality, it is clear to everyone that the AKP government has ignored the courageous and self-sacrificing steps taken by the Kurdish side, leaving Devlet Bahçeli's words hanging in the air. Moreover, both the right and the left, once again the sworn enemies of Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) and the PKK, are re-emerging on the historical stage, attempting to slander the actions of Öcalan. Yet, the truth cannot be hidden. Such people cannot defame Leader Öcalan with their actions; they can only expose how despicable “Judenrat” (Jewish Council) they truly are. That's all!
