Emine Şenyaşar lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attacks on a workplace and hospital carried out by relatives and bodyguards of AKP deputy Ibrahim Halil Yıldız during the General Election on 24 June 2018 in Urfa's Suruç district.
Together with her son Ferit Şenyaşar she is holding a sit-in protest in front of the courthouse in Urfa demanding "justice". The Şenyaşar family's requests for a meeting regarding the file were rejected by the Chief Public Prosecutor.
Ferit Şenyaşar reminded that his brother is still in prison while the "killers walk freely outside."
