Şenyaşar family: We will achieve justice together

The Şenyaşar family continues their Vigil for Justice and said that human rights are not implemented in Urfa.

The Vigil for Justice started on 9 March 2021, in front of the courthouse in Urfa, by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in the attack carried out by AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in Suruç on 14 June 2018, continues. The vigil carried out by Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit, who was injured in the attack, has reached day 285. The family continued their vigil at their house in Suruç, like every weekend.

The Şenyaşar family said on their social media accounts: “Turkey signed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 72 years ago. However, it is not implemented in Urfa. A mother has been demanding 'justice' for 285 days. The legal system is under the monopoly of 'certain people' in Urfa. We will achieve justice and the respect of the law together with human rights defenders.”
