BDP and Human Rights Association to stage protest in front of prison
Human Rights Defenders in Izmir will read out a press release in front of the Kiriklar F type Prison in order to draw attention on the problems faced by the prisoners.
TAYD-DER, ÇHD and IHD in conjunction with BDP will hold a protest in front of the prison and they will gather in front of the BDP office at 10 am.
In the invitation issued by the organisers it is pointed out that disciplinary actions are used as a punishment mechanism in Kiriklar F type prison. “In order to show our solidarity with the prisoners who are reacting against the unjust practices within the prison we will gather in front of Kiriklar F type prison” added the invitation.
