First Turkish Congress of Children Rights began in Istanbul

Coming to the Golden Horn Congress Center to attend the First Turkish Congress of Children Rights held for the first time in Ýstanbul, TGNA Parliament Speaker M. Ali Þahin was met by the members of ‘Be An Eye Initiative’ who demanded something to be done about the fate of 401 children killed until today.

The First Turkish Congress of Children Rights has begun with a large number of participants from many parts of Turkey in Golden Horn Congress Center. The congress was given the start with the act of ‘Be An Eye’ Initiative members who wanted to draw attention to the fate of 401 children most of whom are Kurdish and and all murdered at the hands of the state.

Parliament Speaker M. Ali Þahin’s informing the press in the hall was interrupted by the group who were wearing school uniforms written ‘killed’ with photos of the killed children and distributed drafts to press members and the protocol outlining the situation of children.

Conveying the texts to Þahin himself during the act in the congress that drew intense interest from the press, demonstrators left the hall quietly after distributing the leaflets.

The text points out to the fate of 401 children who have been killed in various activities and playing fields with the guns or vehicles of security forces since PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) began an armed struggle, demanding the government to take the necessary steps in this regard and punish the perpetrators.
