Rojhilat (East Kurdistan) has been hit by heavy floods since 21 March. Almost all provinces were hit by the floods, which have caused many deaths and serious material damages.

It has been 17 days since the calamity started, but the regime continues to obscure the true extent of the floods. Victims of the disaster are angry as they have received no significant help.

Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê launched aid campaign

Announcing the launch of a charity campaign for the people of East Kurdistan, Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê said: “Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê due to the bad road conditions will only meet the needs of the people by accepting financial aid.

Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê, which is a humanitarian aid organization, has been active since the first hours of the floods, and we have started to work on urgently needed food tent, blanket, and primary needs.

In this context, we call on all business people living in Europe and the people of Kurdistan and their friends to show solidarity with our people in eastern Kurdistan.

Kurdistan Islamic Society aid campaign

The Kurdistan Islamic Society (CIK) has also launched a campaign for those affected by the floods in Iran and Eastern Kurdistan.

The statement said: ’A major disaster occurred in Rojhilat and Iran. Dozens of citizens lost their lives and great destruction occurred. Houses and roads are destroyed, food and drink problems are experienced. The people are in a difficult situation.

As Kurdistan Islamic Society, we call for help to citizens who need help.”
