Iranian state forces take Kurdish artist Zade into custody in Ilam
Iranian state forces took Kurdish artist Muhammed Abbas Zade into custody in Ilam, East Kurdistan, on the grounds that he chanted the slogan "Jin jiyan azadi".
The East Kurdistan Human Rights Organization reported that the 35-year-old artist was taken into custody after the Newroz celebrations in Shohan Melesha.
The organization said that Muhammed Abbas Zade was detained on the grounds that he chanted the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi" during Newroz.
Muhammed Abbas Zade was also detained in 2023 and released on bail.
