Justice Vigil for ill prisoners reaches day 49

Relatives of the prisoners, who continue their struggle for justice for the ill and prisoners whose sentence has been fully served, stated that they will continue their actions until they get a result.

The Justice Vigil started in Diyarbakır Bar Association Service Building for ill prisoners and prisoners who have not been released despite completing their sentence, is on its 49th day. Relatives of the prisoners, who wished peace, freedom and justice for the New Year, repeated the call for the release of ill prisoners.

Fevziye Kolakan said on Sunday: "We will remain here until we get justice. We want our ill prisoners to be released. We do not accept prisoners remaining in jail beyond their sentence. We cannot bear this pain any longer. I have been going on prison visits for 23 years and all I see is cruelty. If they don't treat ill prisoners, let us do it. Coffins should not come out of jails."
