KCK: Our people in Kurdistan and Europe must strongly participate in the new action process

The KCK Executive Council Co-Presidency called on the people of Kurdistan and Europe to participate in the process that will start on 1 and 2 November.

The co-presidency of the KCK Executive Council issued a statement to call on the people of Kurdistan and Europe to participate in the process that will start on 1 and 2 November.

The KCK said: "We are currently experiencing a phase of important developments. As it is known, recently, after five years again, a meeting with Rêber Apo [Abdullah  Öcalan] took place. With the short message rconveyed to the public, Rêber Apo defined the process we are going through and expressed his resolutive attitude.

Although the isolation has not yet been broken, the meeting with Rêber Apo shows that our struggle has yielded results. Undoubtedly, the contribution of the global freedom campaign ‘Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a Political Solution to the Kurdish Question’ has been decisive in achieving this. As a result of the one-year struggle developed under the name of the campaign, it has been proven that the isolation in Imrali can be shattered and that the democratic solution to the Kurdish question can be achieved by ensuring the physical freedom of Rêber Apo."

The statement added: "In the second year of the global freedom campaign, with the enthusiasm this has given us and at the same time with the responsibility it has placed on our shoulders, we must take the attitude of further developing the struggle to achieve this goal. Accordingly, a strong participation in the new phase of action that starts in the first days of November is necessary. We call on our people and international friends in Europe as well as our people in Kurdistan to participate strongly and massively in this process that begins on 1 and 2 November 2024."

The statement continued: "In this phase, it is also very important to stand in solidarity with the peoples of Northern and Eastern Syria and to embrace the Rojava Revolution. On 1 and 2 November, designated as World Kobane and World Rojava Days, it is necessary to strongly demonstrate that we take responsibility. On these so meaningful days, it is crucial that the peoples of the Middle East and the world, especially the Kurdish people, the women and youth, our international friends, socialist, democratic, and libertarian forces, as well as the Kurdish and global patriotic-democratic youth, strongly support the Rojava Revolution.

It has become more important than ever to take responsibility. The recent attacks carried out by the genocidal colonialist Turkish state have once again revealed what kind of danger the Rojava Revolution is facing. The attacks of the Turkish state are genocide and a crime against humanity. With these attacks, it has once again become clear that the Turkish state aims to eliminate the Rojava Revolution and commit genocide. It is necessary to protect the Rojava Revolution at a level that goes beyond what was experienced in the past. The Rojava Revolution is the common revolution of the peoples."

The statement said: "On the occasion of the upcoming days, we once again celebrate the common historical revolution of the peoples. It is the most fundamental historical responsibility to protect and preserve this common value of the peoples. We must act with this historical responsibility and embrace the Rojava Revolution more strongly against all kinds of attacks."
