Kurdish activist Muhammed Tunç could be deported to Turkey today

The deportation of the Kurdish activist Muhammed Tunç is imminent. Apparently, Tunç has already been brought to Frankfurt am Main. The deportation plane is supposed to fly from there.

Germany continues to deport Kurdish activists to Turkish fascism. At 10.30 am., a collective deportation is to take place at Frankfurt Airport. A Sund Air charter will fly to Turkey.

The Kurdish activist Muhammed Tunç has already been taken from the Pforzheim detention center to Frankfurt am Main for deportation. Tunç was in custody pending deportation for three months. His deportation had failed twice before. In a press release on 4 April, Tunç emphasized that his deportation could still be prevented, primarily through protest.

Tunç listed as "enemy" in Turkey

If Tunç is deported to Turkey because of his political commitment, he is threatened with persecution, imprisonment and torture there. However, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Justice does not want to admit that. The authority considers the deportation to be justifiable and justifies the decision with a "criminal offense" in connection with two court judgments against the Kurds for dangerous harm. The convictions came after clashes with Turkish nationalists associated with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's party. According to Tunç, he is labelled by the authorities in Turkey as an "enemy".
