Kurdish political prisoner on hunger strike

Imprisoned in Mahabad city of East Kurdistan, Kurdish political prisoner Hebibulla Gulperipur started a hunger strike on 12 May to protest against the detention conditions and the death sentence passed on him.

Hebibulla Gulperipur, who was subjected to heavy tortures during his imprisonment, is also protesting against the executions of 5 political prisoners on 9 may in Tehran jail.
