Kurdish people in Tokyo have protested the decision to execute the Kurdish political prisoner Saman Naseem, who is accused of being a member of PJAK in Iran.
The protest action in Tokyo was held in front of the Iranian Embassy, despite not having permission from the authorities. Embassy staff refused to meet the protestors; however the people continued the protest in front of the embassy building and left letters in the mailbox of the embassy demanding an end to the inhuman policies in Iran against political prisoners and the halting of the execution of Saman Naseem.
The Japanese Kurdish Culture Association issued a strong statement condemning the Iranian regime and saying: “We will call to account those who want to massacre Kurdish people as we did in Kobane. We will respond to cruelty against the Kurds wherever we live”.
