Baðlar Municipality Women's Council members and employees held a 'Women's Committee' meeting. Baðlar Mayor Yüksel Baran said; "We are thinking of putting up a bazaar which will be managed by women alone."

Speaking at the meeting which was also attended by Baðlar Deputy Mayor Derya Tamriþ, Culture and Social Director Yüksel Aslan and woman employees of the municipality, Mayor Yüksel Baran remarked that people should act together to solve the problems women face in their lives and working lives.

Calling attention to the poverty in the district and its effects on women, Baran said; "As you know, the people of Baðlar region are from a poor circle. Most of the time, these people apply to us for financial support. We provide financial supports a few times in a year but these problems can't be solved without a permanent solution. Therefore, we are focusing on alternatives."

Giving information about a project of the municipality to provide employment for women, Baran continued as follows; "We will handle all kinds of possibilities and alternatives of performing workings in this respect. We intend to make an exchange of opinions with the women's institution of the municipality on this subject. Some other municipalities are running such projects and they are getting positive results. We will also make such an attempt and we are waiting for the proposals and demands of women residents in the region."
