The Bielefeld Initiative for Peace and Hope in Kurdistan is once again organizing a collection of donations for the children of the Hêvî day center in Maxmûr Camp. This time the organisation will also send packages to Shengal.
Last year members of the Initiative for Peace and Hope in Kurdistan organized a collection of donations for the children of the day center in Maxmûr Camp. Similar to the “Christmas in a shoe box” gift campaign, individual packages were prepared to make the children happy.
This year again, New Year's gifts are to be sent to the children in South Kurdistan. This time the packages will be sent to Maxmûr refugee camp and to the Yazidi children in Shengal. Since the transport there is not easy to cover, an additional donation of 2 euros per package is requested. If the donation is sent in a sports or jute bag, it is cheaper to ship than in a box.

Since most families in Maxmûr Camp can hardly afford the expenses for their children's clothing and school materials, the Bielefeld Initiative for Peace and Hope in Kurdistan has also been organizing a sponsorship campaign since October 2019, which aims to relieve the families in the educational sector. The association calls for support for the campaign.
