Political prisoners in Sincan No. 2 High Security Prison go on hunger strike today

Political prisoners in Sincan No. 2 High Security Prison will go on an indefinite alternating hunger strike as of today.

According to the information received, an indefinite alternating hunger strike will begin today in Sincan No. 2 High Security Prison. The prisoners had been on a preliminary warning hunger strike for the last three days.

During a visit with his family, one of the prisoners, Ismet Karak, announced that they would turn the protest into an indefinite alternating hunger strike since the administration did not respond to their demands.

A total of 30 prisoners will go on hunger strike today. A group of three prisoners will take over the fast every five-day.

Prisoners are protesting the increasing repression, the abolition of the one-hour right to talk, the right to sport, and the right of meeting among prisoners.

So far, no response has been given to the prisoners' demands.
