Preparation underway for 8 March demonstrations
Preparations and appeals for demonstrations increase as March 8, International Women’s Day approaches.
Revolutionary 8th of March Platform members invited all women to the demonstration on March 10 in Istanbul. On Tuesday different meetings were also held in Batman, where another demonstration will be staged, to invite women to participate to the Istanbul rally as well. The slogan of the march will be ‘Women want freedom and negotiations for the solution of the Kurdish issue’.
Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Batman MP Ayla Akat Ata who called for participation in the demonstration of March 3 said, “We should struggle for the liberation of the Kurdish people just like we struggle for women’s liberation.”
