The release of Sedat Atsız (54), an ill prisoner who was held hostage in Bolu F Type Closed Prison and has been kept in jail for 30 years, was postponed for 3 months on 1 March on the grounds that he did not accept the imposition of "remorse". The release was postponed once again for 3 months on 5 June.
The family of Sedat Atsız, who called the prison on June 5, was informed that his release had been postponed for the second time.
While no information was given regarding the reason for the postponement, the family applied to the Amed Branch of the Human Rights Association (IHD) regarding the violation of rights.
