The Şenyaşar family, fighting for justice for their relatives who were murdered in Urfa, said that they would open a new path and protested those who avoided taking the initiative for it.
Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre organized by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the justice vigil in front of the Urfa Courthouse.
Today is the 289th day of the vigil, launched by the family on 9 March. Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit came once again to the Urfa Courthouse, 42 kilometers from their home in Suruç. Despite the winter conditions, the governor's office did not allow the family to pitch a tent.
The family tagged the accounts of Erinç Sağkan, President of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB) and Mehmet Durakoğlu, President of the Istanbul Bar Association, on their Twitter account, and wrote: "There is persecution at the door of Şanlıurfa Courthouse, followed by the world. Here we will open a new path. There is no other way. Those who avoid taking the initiative for this are responsible for the future."
