Two women members of Þýrnak Women's Council, who were called to security directorate as a part of an investigation launched against them for “organizing” a march in Þýrnak, gave their statements in Kurdish through an interpreter assigned.
Þýrnak Women's Council members Fatma Kabul and Teybet Belge, who were called to Þýrnak Security Directorate as a part of an investigation launched against them for opposing the law on “Meetings and demonstration marches" on grounds of “organizing” a march in Þýrnak due to "25 November World Day of Fight Against Violence On Women", gave their statements in Kurdish through an interpreter assigned.
Giving her statement in Kurdish, Þýrnak Women's Council member Taybet Belge said the followings on the issue; “We organized a march on November 25 to condemn the violence against women and police officials also determined the route of the march. However, an investigation was started with the accusation of opposing the law on meetings and demonstration marches. Whatever we do, they try to hinder us”.
