Women in Frankfurt protested the inhumane practices of the Turkish state against ill prisoners, and demanded freedom for all political detainees.
The inhuman practices imposed by the Turkish state to all political and sick prisoners were protested in an action held in Frankfurt. Activists underlined the conditions of imprisoned politician Aysel Tuğluk, who had serious health problems, and the death of prisoner Garibe Gezer, who was tortured and raped in jail.
The women pointed out the importance of increase the solidarity with political prisoners and exposing the fascist practices of the Turkish government.
The action was attended by Amara Women's Assembly, European Democratic Women's Movement and Women Defend Rojava activists who held photos of Aysel Tuğluk and Garibe Gezer as well as of HDP female politicians in prison. In addition, the women denounced the death of Halil Güneş and Abdurrazzak Suyur, two prisoners who died in the past two days because they were not released despite their serious illness, were not given their medicines and had no chance of recovery in prison conditions.
