Prisoner Sibel Uçar, who talked about the rights violations in prison in the weekly phone call with her family, said that the guards put serious psychological pressure on the prisoners. Uçar, who has been in prison for 6 years, explained that the administration tried to normalize the psychological pressure applied by the guards. Uçar confirmed that many guards have been infected with coronavirus and that the prisoners feel in danger.

Uçar said: “On Thursday, the prisoners were not given food until evening. The guards inflict psychological violence on us by saying ‘you will die anyway’. The prison does not take any protection measures and there are prisoners over the age of 65 who have cancer."

Uçar called for public awareness.
