Prisoners in Turkey enter 66th day of hunger strike against isolation

PKK and PAJK prisoners entered the 66th day of hunger strike against isolation. Solidarity hunger strikes are being carried out in Maxmur Camp and Lavrio Refugee Camp in Greece.
PKK and PAJK prisoners started an indefinite and alternated hunger strike on 27 November 2020 demanding the end of the isolation imposed on Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has been held in Imrali High Security F-Type Closed Prison for 21 years. The prisoners also demand the end of the increasing violations of rights in jail. The prisoners have entered their 66th day of hunger strike and the fast has being taken over by the 14th group of inmates.
Solidarity hunger strikes are being carried out in Maxmur Camp and Lavrio Refugee Camp in Greece.
Maxmur Camp
A hunger strike was launched on 18 December 2020, under the leadership of women in Martyr Rustem Cudi - Maxmur Camp. The hunger strike is taking place at the Maxmur Martyrs' Families Association, and has entered its 45th day.
Greece
The action launched by Kurdish refugees in Lavrio Camp, in Greece, demanding the end the isolation imposed on Abdullah Öcalan and in support of the hunger strike in prisons continues on its 28th day. The hunger strike in the camp is led by the Revolutionary Youth Movement (TCŞ), the Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe (TJK-E) and the Kurdistan Cultural Center.
