According to local sources, guerrillas of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) carried out an action against Turkish military units stationed on Hill Lelikan in Bradost region of southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq, at 17:30 yesterday evening.

While initial reports suggested that 9 Turkish soldiers had been killed, eye witnesses said 15 soldiers were killed and many more got wounded as a result of the action.

Sources said the Turkish army has retrieved the dead and wounded soldiers from Bermize village.

HPG Press Office is expected to release a statement on the mentioned action.
