Civilians in Zagroz neighborhood of Hakkari's Gever (Yüksekova) district are under bombardment by Turkish military and police forces.

As the district remains under a state of siege, Turkish troops in District Regimental Command and Efeler Battalion are conducting heavy shelling on neighborhoods.

As many as 200 civilians residing in Kani Heyder area of Zagroz (Cumhuriyet) neighborhood are facing a threat of being harmed by the ongoing bombardments targeting their living area.

A civilian trapped in the mentioned area, Mehmet Bafra, who spoke to ANF, told that the aggression has left many houses in ruins, saying; “They (state forces) know that there are civilians in this area, yet they continue their bombardment. There are women, children and elderly here.”
