31 areas in Hakkari banned for public
31 areas in Hakkari have been declared “special security areas” between January 9 and 23 as part of the operation the Turkish army is to conduct. Entrance to and exit from the areas have been banned.
As part of the operation the Turkish army is to conduct in Hakkari, 31 areas in the Çukurca, Şemdinli and Yüksekova districts have been declared “special security areas” between January 9, 2018, 00:01 to January 23, 2018, 23:59.
Unauthorized entry to and exit from the areas have been banned.
Military activity increased in the area after the announcement.
