HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office released a statement regarding the increasingly ongoing actions by guerrillas in North Kurdistan territory.

HAKKARİ

In the evening of October 13, guerrillas infiltrated into the positions of Turkish soldiers on Petrut hill in Hakkari's Çukurca district. One position of the Turkish troops was destroyed and 4 soldiers were killed in the action after which Turkish army shelled the area with heavy weaponry.

At 19:30 on October 9, guerrillas carried out a sabotage action targeting the Turkish soldiers heading from Gırê outpost to the Cigerxwin hill in Çukurca. The number of soldiers killed or wounded here couldn't be clarified.

At 14:00 on October 13, guerrillas hit the soldiers heading towards Martyr Zeki hill in Çukurca after taking control over the area at 13:00. 7 soldiers were killed as a result of the action after which Turkish troops bombarded the area with howitzer and mortar fire for 2 hours.

Again on October 13, 1 soldier was killed in a targeted action of guerrillas aiming the troops on Koordine hill.

At 06:30 on October 14 (today), guerrillas carried out a sabotage action targeting a group of 30 soldiers as they headed towards the Asayish point near Garê Regiment in Hakkari's Şemdinli district. 8 soldiers were killed and 4 others were wounded as a result of the action after which the Turkish troops retrieved the casualties from the scene with armored vehicles, ambulances and a Sikorsky helicopter.

ŞIRNAK

At between 16:30 – 17:00 on October 13, soldiers bombed the Deriyê Dawetiya area in Kêlik terrain of Şırnak's Uludere district. Guerrillas retaliated against the attack, leaving 1 soldier dead. In the wake of the action, troops at Çete ve Maymun outposts in Uludere bombed Deriyê Dawetiya, Gırê Nêriya areas and Martyr Rênas hill with howitzer and mortar fire.

At 16:00 on October 12, guerrillas conducted a targeted action aiming the soldiers on move on Şehidan hill in Uludere, which left 1 soldier dead.

At 16:00 on October 13, guerrillas hit a group of soldiers in Şehriban area of Şırnak where 1 soldier was killed. Turkish military operation in the area continues.

Turkish troops are laying ambushes between Avkamasiya and İkizce villages on the highway between Şırnak and its Cizre district.

AĞRI

On October 11, Turkish army bombarded Martyr Doğan, Martyr Reşit and Martyr Ararat areas in Ağrı's Diyadin district with howitzer fire.

In response to the aggravated isolation of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and in memory of the guerrillas who fell in Çemçê and Tendürek areas, guerrillas carried out an action targeting the soldiers participating in the ground operation in the region at 12:00 after the bombardment.

11 soldiers were killed and 2 others were wounded after the military unit here was ambushed by guerrillas at 16:45 in the afternoon. Guerrillas also carried out targeted actions, leaving 1 soldier dead and 2 others wounded. Sporadic clashes in the operation area continued till the evening hours.

A total of 12 soldiers were killed and 4 others were wounded as a result of the guerrilla actions that rendered the operation ineffective. Turkish outposts close to the area bombarded the area heavily till October 13.

AMED

Turkish Cobra helicopters have been bombarding the surroundings of Sisê village in Amed's Lice district for the past 3 days. Soldiers shelled the area between Helhel and Zengê villages with howitzers on October 13.

DERSİM

The operation launched by Turkish army in Geliyê Harçik area of Dersim on October 11 was retreated at 19:00 on October 13 without yielding any results.
