Turkish state forces raided several houses in 10 villages in Özalp district of Van province on Thursday.
As many as 44 people were taken into custody in the operation during which doors of the targeted houses were broken by use of force.
The detainees who are yet to be identified have been taken to Özalp District Gendarmerie Outpost Command.
On the other hand, three people who were detained 11 days ago in Silvan district of Amed, have been imprisoned.
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Silvan district administrator Müfit Çapan and two people by the names of Sani Gözükür and Mahmut Akın had been taken into custody during a raid in Akyol (Kilesiyê) village of Silvan on November 12.
The three detainees have been remanded in custody and sent to Diyarbakır Prison after appearing at court on Thursday.
