An intense clash broke out at 9.00 this morning in the rural area close to Mehlê hamlet in Kerwas (Yalaza) village. There has been an ongoing military operation in the hamlet and the residents there could not be reached for the last 2 days.
50 people including women and young people who wanted to go to the clash site were stopped by special operations forces on the exit of the village.
The state forces tortured the people they stopped and blockaded the hamlet. The sounds of torture were heard from the village and the victims have called for urgent help. There are reports that a fire broke out in the village itself.
Local residents, including a 5-month old baby and 80-years old elders, report trouble breathing due to the smoke from the fire and are under threat of suffocation.
