55 including DBP and HDP administrators detained in Amed

As many as 55 people including HDP and DBP administrators have been detained as a result of an expansive operation in Amed province and its districts early Tuesday morning.

As the AKP regime's political genocide operations against Kurdish politicians and civilians continue uninterrupted, police forces have raided a number of houses in Amed province and its districts early Tuesday morning.

All the raided houses were searched in detail during the operation within the scope of which around 55 people were taken into custody, including DBP Amed provincial co-chair Hafize İpek, HDP Amed provincial co-chairs Cebbar Leygara and Gülşen Özer, HDP Peyas (Kayapınar) district co-chair Abbas Ercan and administrators from both DBP and HDP.

The detainees have been taken to provincial police headquarters.
