60 recruits join YBS in Shengal

After completing military training 60 recruits joined Shengal Resistance Units (YBS) in Shengal.

60 Ezidi youths joined YBS after completing their basic military training in Shengal. YBS commanders, families of the recruits attended the final ceremony of the Martyr Hejar training cycle in Shengal military academy.

In a speech to the recruits, YJS commander Axin Shengali said that the engagement of Ezidi youth in the struggle at the beginning of the new year is a strong message to the colonialist powers.

“The participants of Sehit Hejar military training cycle are joining the ranks to carry out the freedom struggle of Ezidi people. There are big expectations from us in 2018” Shengali said.

The father of Hejar Shengali, the fallen fighter whose name is given to the training cycle, also spoke at the event and said, “YBS fighters are the fighters of all Ezidi people and YBS is the only force that guarantees the security of us”.

The ceremony ended with slogans and Kurdish traditional dances.
