An armored police shuttle bus was targeted by a car-bombing outside Martyr Captain Gürel Ekinci Imam Hatip school in Yenişehir district of Amed Tuesday afternoon.
While the shuttle was hit on the road leading to the 7th Corps, the blast left the bus unusable and was followed by a gunfight which didn't last long. Windows of many houses and cars around were also broken.
A number of police forces and dozens of ambulances were dispatched to the scene in the wake of the explosion which left 9 police dead and 13 others wounded, according to Turkish media reports.
