The Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Esenyurt District Organisation office was raided by the police in the morning. After the search, DEM Party Esenyurt District Co-Chairs Rojda Yılmaz and Abdullah Arınan were summoned to Istanbul Provincial Security Directorate to give their statements.

According to reports, Yılmaz and Abdullah Arınan were detained at Istanbul Provincial Security Directorate.

It is also reported that police officers went to the houses of both co-chairs and carried out searches around 15.30.

The co-chairs were reportedly restricted from seeing their lawyers for 24 hours.
