HPG (People’s Defense Forces) guerrillas carried out an action against Turkish soldiers stationed on Hill Lelikan in southern Kurdistan at 17:30 Monday afternoon.

At least 9 Turkish soldiers were killed and many others were wounded in the action.

Local sources report that Turkish jets conducted a bombardment on the area in the wake of the action. According to reports, dead and wounded soldiers are yet to be retrieved from the area.
