Action by Vengeance Units injures three police in Amed

The three Kurdish women were murdered by Turkish state forces four years ago.

Martyr Sakine Cansız and Martyr Baran Dersim Vengeance Units hit Turkish special operations police in Amed (Diyarbakır).

A written statement by the Vengeance Units said that the action was carried out in memory of Sêvê Demir, Pakize Nayır and Fatma Uyar who were murdered by Turkish state forces in Silopi district of Şırnak on 4 January 2016.

Sêvê Demir was a member of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Party Assembly (PM), Fatma Uyar a member of the Free Women’s Congress (KJA) and Pakize Nayır co-chair of Silopi Public Assembly.

The Vengeance Units said that they targeted special operations police in Amed’s central Bağlar district with an improvised explosive device which left three policemen injured.

While the police units opened fire around at random, the Vengeance Units retreated from the area safely amid an ambulance activity and siege in the area.
