HPG Media Center released a statement providing information about the actions by HPG ad YJA-STAR guerrillas in Şırnak, Hakkari, Mardin, Ağrı and Adıyaman.

ŞIRNAK

Accordingly, YJA-Star (Free Women's Troops) guerrillas conducted an action with mortars targeting a Turkish military unit deployed around Martyr Kendal hill in Şırnak's Uludere district t 14:00 on June 23rd. While the number of dead or wounded soldiers couldn't be verified, Turkish forces bombed Martyr Rênas hill and Deriyê Dawetiya area with howitzers and mortars afterwards.

At 18:00 on June 24th, one soldier was killed as a result of an assassination action targeting a Turkish unit forming emplacements on Şehidan hill in Şırnak's Uludere district.

GABAR

HPG stated that Turkish army started an operation in Mışarê area around Mount Gabar with the participation of village guards on June 23rd.

HAKKARİ

One soldier was killed in an assassination action of guerrillas that targeted the soldiers assembling in Masiro area of Hakkari's Şemzinan district at 17:00 on June 24th.

MARDİN

At 05:30 on June 24th, guerrillas engaged in a clash with Turkish soldiers near Kızılayşan village of Mardin's Derik district. One specialist sergeant and one sergeant were killed and their guns were also seized. The sergeant killed here was reported to be the commander of the Şavalet outpost.

AĞRI

Guerrillas hit a Turkish military unit disguised in the rural area of İnegê village in Ağrı's Bazid district at 18:40 on June 23rd. One soldier was killed and another was wounded in the action which was dedicated to HPG guerrillas Rüstem and Destan martyred in Tendürek.

ADIYAMAN

A guerrilla unit targeted a military vehicle moving on the road between Boğazözü (Girik) village and Kömür (Koma Mîra) town of Adıyaman at 16:00 on June 24th. Five soldiers were killed as a result of the action, after which Turkish military started an operation in the area.

ATTACKS ON GUERRILLA ZONES

HPG also reported ongoing attacks on guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in Southern Kurdistan territory. Accordingly, Turkish warplanes bombed the Şekif and Kanî Qirêj vicinity in Xakurke area between 22.00 – 22.30 on June 24th.
