Anti-government protests in Southern Kurdistan continue spreading on the fifth day.
Workers have been taking to the streets and demanding the payment of their salaries in Southern Kurdistan for the fifth day.
Hewler (Erbil), Sulaymaniyah, Halabja, Rania, Koye, Seyîdsadiq, Kelarê Aker, Qeladızê and many other central locations are witnessing mass demonstrations starting from early morning hours.
Demonstrators are also protesting the remarks of Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani who claimed yesterday that “protesters carry knives and guns”.
More workers are joining the mass demonstrations, highlighting that the government has no legitimacy left.
In the meantime, many demonstrators got injured as a result of crackdown by KDP’s asayish (security) forces against protersters in Hewler, Duhok, Sheladize and Soran.
