People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Centre released a statement providing details of the most recent actions carried out by guerrillas against Turkish military forces. In the mentioned actions, guerrillas hit Turkish forces in Hakkari and Şırnak provinces in northern Kurdistan.
The statement said the following;
“On June 26, at 15.30, our forces carried out an action against the invading Turkish army on the Serzer hill in the Çelê (Çukurca) district of Hakkari. One enemy soldier in the enemy unit which trying to deploy on the hill was killed.
On June 28, at 01.15, our guerrilla forces carried out an action against a position of the invading Turkish army on Serzer hill. Two soldiers were killed in this action where the enemy position was effectively hit. Following the action, the invaders indiscriminately opened fire and bombed the area and carried away the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Sikorsky helicopters. Our action unit has reached its base area successfully.
Within the scope of the ongoing Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Campaign in the Medya Defense Zones, on July 1, at 14.30, our YJA Star forces carried out an action targeting the invading Turkish army on the Martyr Sarya hill in the Xakurkê region. One invader was killed in the action.
Within the framework of Martyr Medya Mawa and Martyr Rizgar Gever Revenge Campaign in Botan region, our guerrilla forces carried out a sabotage action targeting a Kobra type armored vehicle on heading from the Şırnak city center to Kron outpost on June 30, at 18.30. In the action, the armored vehicle was damaged and the number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be clarified.
On June 29, our forces carried out a targeted action against enemy soldiers positioned on EyşedEinkê valley of Besta region of Şırnak. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in this action could not be clarified.”
