At least 9 soldiers killed in Şırnak and Osmaniye

BEYTÜŞŞEBAP

According to the daily HPG-BIM statement, guerrillas conducted an assassination action targeting soldiers in Sinekli area in the countryside of Şırnak's Beytüşşebap district at 18:30 on August 6. One soldier was killed here.

At 05:30 on August 6, guerrillas conducted three separate sabotage actions against Turkish soldiers getting deployed on a hill in Beytüşşebap countryside. Six soldiers were killed and two others were wounded in the action which was dedicated to guerrillas martyred in Beytüşşebap.

OSMANİYE

At 23:00 on August 1, guerrillas hit a disguised unit of the Turkish army in the rural areas of Osmaniye, leaving two soldiers dead, including one sergeant, while one village guard was wounded.

VAN

At 21:30 on August 5, guerrillas tracked a military convoy heading from Van to Çatak district. At 01:00 on 6 August night, guerrillas carried out a sabotage action targeting an armored vehicle in this convoy in Bahçesaray - Van – Çatak triangle area. The vehicle was destroyed but the number of dead or wounded soldiers couldn't be clarified.

Turkish army closed the road to traffic for three hours in the wake of the action.
