The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) of Southern Kurdistan continues giving positive messages towards the Turkish state despite the latter’s invasion attempts and insults.

The Turkish Consul-General in Erbil, Mehmet Akif İnam who has been serving in Hewler for about for years has visited Prime Minister of the Southern Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani at the end of his term.

During the farewell visit, the Turkish Consul-General offered his thanks for the support the KDP has provided him during the four years of his term in the Kurdistan region.

KDP’s Nechirvan Barzani, who thanks Turkey at every opportunity, said he attached importance to Kurdistan Regional Government’s friendly relations with Turkey, saying; “I hope that the strong relations between Erbil and Ankara resume as before through the efforts of both sides.”
